Semiconductor Welding Services Striking Precision Welding

Welding and Fabrication for Data Center and AI Infrastructure

AI runs on hardware, and hardware runs on precision fabrication. Behind every AI breakthrough is physical infrastructure that must perform flawlessly under extreme thermal loads and demanding uptime requirements. With data centers now consuming approximately 4.4% of U.S. electricity—a figure projected to rise as AI adoption accelerates—thermal management and structural reliability have never been more critical.

Striking Precision Welding provides precision welding services for data center contractors, AI infrastructure developers, and cooling system integrators. Our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, qualified orbital and manual GTAW procedures, and in-house helium leak testing support the performance and validation requirements that high-density computing environments demand.

We fabricate liquid cooling distribution systems, heat exchangers, process tubing assemblies, server racks, frames, and metal enclosures using stainless steel (304L, 316L), aluminum, and copper alloys when thermal management specifications require. Our GTAW/TIG welding capabilities handle thin-gauge materials and complex geometries, while orbital tube welding delivers consistent, leak-tight joints for critical cooling systems.

Data Center & AI Infrastructure Applications

From hyperscale facilities to edge computing deployments, we fabricate the structural and thermal infrastructure that keeps high-performance computing running. Our work spans server racks, liquid cooling systems, thermal management components, and protective enclosures—the hidden foundation that makes AI possible.

Server Racks and Structural Frames

Custom-fabricated server racks and mounting frames engineered for dimensional consistency and airflow optimization. Precision alignment ensures proper equipment fitment and cooling efficiency. Structural welding supports thousands of pounds of computing equipment while maintaining the tight tolerances high-density installations require. From standard 19″ rack configurations to custom designs for specialized equipment.

Liquid Cooling Systems

Heat exchangers, cooling distribution units (CDUs), and direct liquid cooling components for high-density GPU clusters and AI training infrastructure. Orbital tube welding delivers consistent, contamination-free joints for cooling water, glycol, and refrigerant distribution.

Heat Exchangers and Thermal Management

Custom heat exchanger fabrication for rack-level and facility-level cooling applications. Copper, aluminum, and stainless steel construction optimized for thermal transfer efficiency with leak-tight welded joints. Precision fabrication ensures consistent flow paths and thermal performance across production runs.

Process Tubing and Manifolds

Distribution headers, custom manifolds, and multi-zone cooling system assemblies. Precision GTAW/TIG welding on thin-gauge tubing with pressure testing and leak verification for all fluid distribution systems.

Metal Enclosures and Equipment Housings

Fabricated metal enclosures for edge computing deployments, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and lithium-ion battery thermal management. Protective housings for RF components, antennas, and communication equipment operating in demanding environments—from factory floors to outdoor installations. EMI/RFI shielded enclosures with proper grounding and gasketing provisions available for sensitive electronics.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can you fabricate custom cooling loops for immersion or direct-to-chip applications?

Yes. We fabricate custom cooling distribution manifolds, headers, and cooling loops with integrated sensor provisions. Our orbital welding capabilities ensure leak-tight joints throughout the cooling system.

What materials do you recommend for liquid cooling systems?

Material selection depends on your coolant and operating conditions. Stainless steel (304L/316L) offers excellent corrosion resistance for water and glycol systems. Copper and copper alloys provide superior thermal conductivity for heat exchangers. We can discuss optimal material selection for your specific application.

    Do you provide NEMA-rated enclosures?

We fabricate metal enclosures and housings for electrical and power equipment but do not currently provide NEMA rating certification. We can work with your specifications to meet enclosure requirements and coordinate with testing labs if rating verification is required.

Can you handle both prototype and production quantities?

Yes. We accommodate prototype/R&D quantities for new cooling system designs as well as production volume requirements for established infrastructure deployments.

What leak rate can you certify for cooling systems?

Our in-house helium mass spectrometer testing certifies to 5×10⁻¹⁰ Torr sensitivity. All cooling system components receive pressure testing and leak verification with documented test reports.
